The NSW Rural Allied Health Conference was held in Dubbo during October. It provided an opportunity for allied health professionals, health service managers, educational institutions and others to share valuable experiences and raise issues facing allied health practitioners and the services they deliver in rural and remote NSW.
The Institute of Rural Clinical Services and Teaching was pleased to support over 200 rural allied health profesionals to attend this exciting and engaging conference, and would like to acknowledge the work of the Conference Organising Committee in developing such a varied and interesting program.
Speaker presentations are available below, but are only available if permission has been supplied by the Speaker.
Please click on the below concurrent session name to access the presentations in each session:
Thursday 18 October Concurrent Session 1 - 1330-1500
Thursday 18 October Concurrent Session 2 - 1530-1700
Friday 19 October Concurrent Session 3 - 1330-1500
Over the two days of the conference proper, a series of proposed Actions and Solutions were developed with a view to taking rural and remote allied health forward.
But it was not all hard work for the conference delegates. A welcome reception was held on the Wednesday night, then on the Thursday night, almost 200 people attended the conference dinner. Many of the lucky delegates were also able to attend breakfast at the Western Plains Zoo, courtesy of Ochre Recruitment.
This third NSW Rural Allied Health Conference has been extensively evaluated. The final report will soon be available, but for now, check out the snapshot of the evaluation from the delegates who found their way to Dubbo in October 2007.
